With in excess of 1,000 rooms we will see the just a few including the Royal State Apartments. There will be time to see the town itself before continuing into central London by mid afternoon for check in and unpacking. Gather together again for an early dinner before retiring for the night.

Day Three

London and Sadlers Wells

This morning we enjoy an orientation tour of the city. The tour will encompass as many of the traditional sites of London as possible such as the Tower of London, St Paul's Cathedral, Oxford Street, Hyde Park and Regents Street. However as much time as possible will be dedicated to touring on foot from Buckingham Palace, along The Mall to Trafalgar Square, then along Whitehall and the Prime Minister's residence at No.10 Downing Street, past Westminster Abbey, The Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, across Westminster Bridge to the London Eye.

There will be time to purchase lunch before this afternoon's visit to Sadlers Wells. This is a premier venue for dance and opera in London. It occupies the site of a series of theaters, the first built in 1683. In the early 1990s, the turn-of-the- 20th-century theater was mostly demolished, and construction began on an innovative new design completed at the end of 1998. We will enjoy an afternoon at the complex complete with backstage tour and lecture. We break for dinner at a local restaurant, before returning to the theatre to attend tonight's production. Late evening return to the hotel.

Day Four

London Studio Workshops

This morning we visit the magnificent Victoria & Albert Museum. In excess of 500,000 pieces, the collection spans virtually every London stage production since the 1850's.

This afternoon we visit The Place. The Place is the UK's premier centre for contemporary dance, uniting training, creation and performance in one unique building. Working with dancers from age 5 upwards, The Place brings new talent into the dance profession and guides artists through their careers. The Place's activities, unmatched in their quality and range, include London Contemporary Dance School, Richard Alston Dance Company and the Robin Howard Dance Theatre, together with pioneering education, outreach and professional development projects. We will participate in a private workshop at the studio.

Subject to availability tonight we will attend a performance in the studio's Robin Howard Dance Theatre.

Day Five

London Workshops

This afternoon we visit the esteemed London Studio Centre. Bridget Espinosa opened the London Studio Centre in September 1978. At that time she was very aware of the need to provide dancers with the very best training in dance, music and drama in preparation for various careers in the professional theatre. Her considerable work as a choreographer and director ranged from a revue for the New York World Fair to West End productions. The LSC is recognized as one of the finest and best equipped dance training centres in Europe. We tour the facilities, participate in a studio workshop.

Tonight we attend a performance at LSC's own De Valois Theatre.
